I did not realise that transfercar was a third party. So any correspondence I had to make was with the owner of the car, in this case it was Apollo.

It was honestly the best.

To have cars to hire or to rent for the same day. For example. I needed a car to travel from Auckland to Wellington taking in Sunday morning and dropping in the evening. It wasn't possible. For any company. Cheers

No, everything went well and provided an awesome one way road trip down to Brisbane.It was the best way to see the landscape and many wonderful stops along the way.Plains,trains and buses we're a bad option for us- The transfer car option was the best for us.I would highly recommend this option in stead of regular retail car deal or any other mode of transportation

Being warned that there isn't dishwashing gear onboard or loo paper! Also the lady at Chch was very helpful but didn't give me any instruction on how the vehicle drove, such as how the Cruise Control worked or the window wipers etc.

My main issue is reliability and consistency. Some rental companies are excellent eg Hertz but others not so good. Long waits (well over 24 hours to get a response) even after reapplying 2 or 3 times. Then maybe a declined application. Sometimes accepted but no notification or rental number from Rental Car Company. One time I had a rental accepted, flew to the pickup destination only to find no one at the branch. After much chasing around the neighbour managed to get the keys and locate the vehicle. I have given up on some applications as reliability is of the utmost importance as I use the relocations for business. Unfortunately service has deteriorated. I am waiting for a car to be approved as I message.
